Rumored 2022 iPhone



Apple iPhone 14 is rumoured to be launched in the country on October 31, 2022 .It's still a few months  before the 2022 iPhone 14 model hits the market, but with some notable updates to Apple's latest smartphones,  the iPhone 13 model will be available here last year. Rumors have been flowing for some time.

The size of the iPhone was changed in 2022, and Apple is disposing of the 5.4-inch iPhone mini as it turns out to be unpopular with customers. After sluggish iPhone mini sales, Apple plans to focus on larger iPhone sizes as its flagship devices, expecting the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max. .. 6.7 inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. There is no 5.4 inch iPhone 14 mini this year.

Starting in 2017, the front of the iPhone with Face ID has a notch  to accommodate all the devices needed to scan the face, which will change with the launch of the iPhone 14. The 2022 iPhone 14 Pro model is expected to throw away the notch in favor of the new design. Rumors have been around for some time, but Apple seems to use a  combination of  circular punched hole cutouts for cameras and pill-shaped cutouts to house  key Face ID components. Unfortunately, this feature is limited to  Pro models, and the cheaper iPhone 14 models will still have the standard notch.  

No Notch and New Face ID Hardware Design (Pro Only)


At least on some  iPhone 14 models, or Pro models, Apple is working to eliminate the notch where the hardware needed for Face ID resides. Notch was a controversial design decision when it was introduced in 2017 and hasn't changed much since it, except for the sizing on the iPhone 13. 

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in March 2021 that the 2022 iPhone model would  have no notches and would instead adopt the punch-style design that is popular with many Android phones. Since then, rumors have spread and we have a clearer image of what we expect.

Aspects of Iphone 14

The first to feature under-display Face ID and an under-screen front camera, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, but display analyst Ross Young expects under-display Face ID to come first followed by an under-screen camera with the iPhone 18.
2023 iPhones are expected to feature the same will have a dual-hole cutout similar to this year's iPhone 14 Pro models, says display analyst Ross Young. The 2023 models will use the same design with circular cutout and pill-shaped cutout, and the feature won't be limited to the Pro models. The pill and hole design could shrink a bit, but it will be a couple years before Apple is ready for full under-display Face ID.
